Oticon Hearing Aids
Oticon is a Danish company that has been making hearing aids for over 60 years. It offers a large selection of digital hearing aids that span from devices equipped with a multitude of cutting-edge features, to high-performing basic models; price ranges from the very expensive to the affordable. There are a few models that are more popular than others. Oticon also offers the Oticon Corda hearing aid tube set, which works with a variety of hearing aids and provides for an open fit solution.
The most popular and innovative of the Oticon hearing aid arsenal is the Epoq. One of the strong points of this device is that it is based on wireless technology. Wireless technology allows for communication between hearing aids placed in both ears, which in turn allows for the creation of more natural sound. You can even use your mobile phone through your hearing device thanks to Oticon’s Intelligent Epoq Streamer technology; this allows your hearing aid to function somewhat like a Bluetooth headset. Streamer technology can also allow you to listen to music from an MP3 player.

The Delta device is actually equipped with Artificial Intelligence in order to assure you the highest quality of speech understandability in virtually every possible listening environment. Oticon has attempted to mimic how the human brain works in the AI system of the Oticon Delta hearing aid, so that you may have a clear, comfortable and, most importantly, natural hearing experience.
Along with the AI system, there is also a memory system that is able to record your response to various listening environments; your hearing professional can then use this information to adjust your device according to your particular hearing needs. Both the Synchro and Safran models also provide Artificial Intelligence systems that work much in the same way as that offered by the Delta device.
The Tego and Tego Pro Oticon hearing aids come with a technology called DecisionMaker that allows for very advanced sound processing. Regardless of the level of chaotic background noise, DecisionMaker makes sure that speech and speech-like sounds are clear. It is designed to be able to direct your attention to speech and minimize unwanted noise. It is also capable of eliminating annoying whistles while maintaining adequate volume for speech and desirable sounds.
People with profound or severe hearing loss can benefit from the Sumo DM device, which provides a significant amplification of sounds in the low-frequency range. On the other end of the spectrum, for people with mild hearing loss, there is the Go Pro device, which is the most affordable aid in Oticon’s arsenal, and the one with the fewest features; despite its basic level, though, its sound quality is more than adequate. There is also the Oticon Go CIC hearing aid and other models.
